Week 6 Friday

 Today I was assigned an additional project and begun collecting data on a spreadsheet for it. We will be reaching out to high schools in the Prince George's County area about a pitch competition taking place in June. As part of this task I complied a list of all the guidance counselors and their contact information into an excel spread sheet. When we return from spring break I will send emails out to all of them to attempt to find high schoolers interested in participating in the contest. 

Week 6 Thursday

 On Thursday I just continued to work on the BSU Catalog and further flushed out the formatting and layout of the catalog. Additionally I heard back from our graphic designer about posting the flyer and established a timeline with Mrs. Darlene. 

Week 5 Friday

 During my workday I added onto the BSU Catalog document and continued working on the fromatting and styling of the document based on the flyer provided by our graphic designer. Additionally I attended part two of the AI education workshop breifly and got more insight on tools that I can use to do things such as website building and utilizing NotebookLM as a study tool. 

Week 5 Thursday

 On Thursday I continued working on the BSU Catalog and got the revised versions of the flyers back from our graphic designer. Additionally I attended a responsible AI usage class that was being held at the EIC during my shift. I learned about the start of AI, the types of AI, and some different AI tools such as Google Gemini, Google AI Studio, and Notebook LM. 

Week 4 Pt. 2

 This is CIAA week and I was supposed to attend the CIAA health and wellness summit on Thursday from 10:00am to 3:00pm however, I contracted Covid-19 and was unable to attend the event or participate in any of my internship activities this week. 

Week 4

 This week was CIAA week I had signed up to go to the Health & Wellness Summit on Thursday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Additionally we had the opportunity to attend the "Teens in Tech" Summit on Friday from 10:00am to 5:30pm however I had planned to be in the step show with my chapter so I would not have been able to attend. The event Thursday would have given the opportunity to engage in conversations regarding mental and physical health within the African American community. 

Week 3 Pt. 2

As my main major project is the BSU Catalog I also began mapping out the layout and overall design for the catalog as well an a timeframe and creating a marketing plan. Most of my updates will relate to this project.
